Karen Paxton, the daughter of Gilbert Maynard Breshears and Velma Doris (Hylton) Breshears was born February 8, 1947 in Ava, and departed this life June 7, 2004, at the age of 57 years, after a long battle with cancer, in which she fought very hard. Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 10, in the Dyer Cemetery, Ava, with Cole Breshears officiating. Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society/Relay for Life of Douglas County.
